The devastating explosion of 04.08.2020 destroyed Beirut. But now this event can be a part of the city's reconstruction.
The book Stones of Beirut narrates the city's unique culture – captured on real evidence of Beirut. The Its stories, photographs and backgrounds are printed on stone paper, made from the rubble of the port explosion at the port.
Proceeds from sales, as well as donations, are collected by the Stiftung stern e.V. and given to
the Lebanese aid organization Beit el Baraka in Beirut. The NGO has been active in the city for years, and supports local people with various programs in– in terms of education, medical aid and, of course, when it comes to reconstruction after the explosion.
